Kayak Ecuador! Here you will find a schedule of upcoming Ecuador kayaking trips with Small World Adventures. We also list associated costs and guidelines to help you plan your Ecuador paddling vacation. Small World Adventures can run any trip anytime (space available). If you don’t see something that matches your schedule or requirements, contact us. SWA also specializes in custom trips for kayaking in Ecuador. If you want to tailor a special trip to your group’s needs, we can do it. This is a great idea for special birthdays, anniversaries, or friends’ reunions. A minimum of 6 people is required for a custom/private trip. This means no one else will join your private group. If you want to create a custom group, but are okay with us opening it up to the general public, then the minimum is 4 paddlers. Contact our office for details. Regular Small World Ecuador kayaking trips require a minimum of 3 paddlers in order to run a trip. We can handle bigger groups by special request, but normally cap the trips at seven paddlers. We can run two trips per week. Class I, II or III trips now only available by special request.

Whats included?
Small World Adventures takes care of all the logistics so you can focus on kayaking in Ecuador. All of our trips in Ecuador include seven days of paddling, great food and accommodations and plenty of time to relax and explore when off the water. For all these trips, you will arrive in Quito, Ecuador (UIO) on a Saturday at the latest, and fly home the following Saturday night (after 6pm) or Sunday.
Items that are included:
- The best kayak guides in Ecuador! Our core team includes Don, Darcy, and 5 locals guides from Tena: Andres, Byron, Jair, Brayan, and Bladimir.
- Kayak rental
- Transportation from Quito to the boating areas and back
- All accommodations while kayaking in Ecuador (Sunday night through Friday night)
- All shuttles while kayaking in Ecuador
- All meals from lunch the first Sunday through lunch Saturday
- Fresh juices, coffee, tea and purified drinking water
Items that are not included:
- Airfare to and from Ecuador
- Airport pick up (all hotels near the airport offer this service and it should be free to $10/person)
- Hotel near the UIO airport the Saturday you arrive and the last Saturday of the trip (unless you fly home Saturday night)
- Personal Kayak Equipment
- Beer , Wine, Soda and mixed drinks (bar available at the hotel in Borja)
- Tips (at your discretion)

Deposits and Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY. A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $375 is required to make a reservation. Full payment is due 60 days prior to departure. If you cancel your trip at least six weeks before the trip start date you will receive a full refund less $375. Written cancellation is required, call to verify. You are welcome to find a qualified replacement, and receive a refund less $100. We regret that we cannot make refund exceptions for personal emergencies or health problems. Once your reservation is confirmed, we lose the potential to sell that spot to someone else. Because of this, we strongly recommend “trip cancellation/ trip interruption” insurance. Trip insurance is also good for unforeseen costs/delays in your travel. For example, all the hotels in Quito will expect you to pay for your room if your flight is delayed and you can’t make it for the night of your reservation. Itineraries and trip prices are subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control. Trips may be canceled if required minimums are not met. Normal minimum is 3 people. A trip maybe cancelled with less than 3 participants or a surcharge of $400 may be added to keep the trip running. (full refunds will be given for trips we cancel).
